Story of the month
The day I stopped hiding.
I was terrified of being photographed. Ten minutes in, I forgot the camera was there — and for the first time I actually like a photo of myself.
In her words
I booked the session as a birthday gift to myself, half expecting to cancel. Alex called a week before, asked about the scarves I love, my favourite books, the light in my flat.
On the day we drank tea, talked, laughed — and somewhere in between the photos happened. My grandchildren now fight over who gets the big print.
