What we handle

Injuries we take on

If a driver, an employer, a property owner, a hospital or a manufacturer caused your injury, we have almost certainly handled a case like yours. Not sure where yours fits? Ask us. The first conversation is free.

  • Car, truck & motorcycle crashes

Rear-end and intersection collisions, commercial trucks, rideshare and delivery vehicles, and hit-and-run claims.

  • Pedestrians & cyclists

Injuries at crossings, in bike lanes and from opening car doors, including claims over dangerous road design.

  • Slips, trips & falls

Wet floors, broken stairs, icy sidewalks and poor lighting in shops, rented homes, offices and public buildings.

  • Medical negligence

Missed or late diagnoses, surgical and medication errors and birth injuries, reviewed by independent doctors.

  • Workplace & construction

Scaffold and ladder falls, machinery accidents and claims against third parties that go beyond workers’ compensation.

  • Defective products

Faulty vehicle parts, appliances, medical devices and children’s products that caused harm when used as intended.

  • Wrongful death

Claims for families who have lost a parent, partner or child, including funeral costs and lost financial support.

  • Insurance disputes

Denied, delayed or lowball offers, and uninsured or underinsured motorist claims against your own insurer.

Step by step

How a case works

Most injury claims settle within nine to eighteen months. This is what happens along the way, and what we need from you at each stage.

  1. Day 1

    Free consultation

Tell us what happened. Within 45 minutes you will know whether you have a claim, roughly what it is worth and how long it may take.

  2. Weeks 1–6

    Investigation

We gather police and medical records, photos and witness statements, and secure camera footage before it is overwritten.

  3. Months 2–9

    Treatment & valuation

You focus on recovery. We track bills, lost earnings and future care, and value the claim once your doctors know the long-term picture.

  4. Months 6–12

    Demand & negotiation

We send the insurer a detailed demand backed by evidence. You approve or reject every offer; nothing settles without your say.

  5. Months 9–18

    Settlement or trial

Most cases settle. If the offer is not fair, we file suit and prepare for trial, and the insurer knows we will see it through.

Fees

No fee unless we win

We take injury cases on a contingency fee. There is nothing to pay upfront and no hourly bills: our fee is a share of the compensation we recover for you, agreed in writing before we start.

  • Usually one third of the amount recovered, and less if the claim settles before a lawsuit is filed.
  • We pay the costs of the case as it runs, such as medical records, expert reports and court fees.
  • If we do not recover compensation, you owe us nothing, for fees or for costs.

Personal injury FAQ

Can’t find your question? Call +1 212 555 0147 or send us a message. A lawyer replies within one business day.

It depends on how serious your injuries are, your medical costs, the earnings you have lost and will lose, how the injury affects your daily life, and how much insurance the other side carries. Be wary of anyone who quotes a figure at the first meeting. We give you a realistic range once your treatment shows the long-term picture.

In New York most injury claims must be filed within three years and medical negligence claims within two and a half. Claims against a city or public authority need a written notice within just 90 days. Other states and countries set different limits, so call us early: evidence disappears quickly too.

Report the accident to your own insurer, but do not give a recorded statement to the other side’s insurer or sign anything before you speak to a lawyer. Adjusters are trained to find words that reduce what they pay. Once we represent you, they deal with us instead.

You can usually still recover compensation. New York follows pure comparative negligence: if you were 20% responsible, your award is reduced by 20%, not lost. Many other places use similar rules, although some bar a claim once your share of the blame passes 50%.

Probably not. More than nine in ten of our injury cases settle without a trial. We still prepare every case as if it will go to court, because insurers pay more when they know your lawyers are ready to stand in front of a jury.
